I have been working as a psychologist since 2001. Over the years I have worked in a range of settings including Community Mental Health (Adult, Child & Adolescent Mental Health), a psychology clinic based within a University and with an Early Intervention Program working with at risk mothers and babies/toddlers. I have been working in private practice at Merimbula Psychology since 2008.

Through these different settings, I've had the fortune to work with a wide range of client groups. I've worked individually with children and teenagers, and worked with families and with parents. I've also done a good deal of individual psychotherapy with adults.

Working in a regional area without specialist services, I've gained a lot of experience helping clients with a broad range of mental health issues, including: depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, addiction, Autism Spectrum Disorder and eating disorders. I have experience supporting parents in understanding and handling their children's difficulties and challenging behaviours. I have also worked a lot with people struggling with situational issues like loss, workplace difficulties and adjustment. While I enjoy working with a variety of presenting difficulties, I have a particular interest in helping people grapple with long standing issues associated with childhood abuse and neglect. I also have a particular interest in helping people overcome anxiety.

I have training in a number of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal Psychodynamic Therapy. These different therapeutic approaches overlap significantly, but some approaches are especially useful for different people or for different presenting issues.

I am registered with Medicare to provide therapy under a Mental Health Care Plan. I am also registered with Work Cover and Veterans Family Counselling Service (VVCS).

I am available for appointments from Mondays to Fridays.
